The delicacy of the hygienist and the use of the best ultrasound equipment on the market (prolonged vibration, slow period and abundance of irrigation with tepid water), can minimise discomfort and prove very effective.

It is advisable to finish the cleaning with a polish, fluorification and sub-gingival irrigation, as this is when they are most effective, reducing postoperative sensitivity and favouring the recovery of inflamed gums and preventing caries.
